Obama Race Speech
Today in biology class we watched the Obama speech. While watching the speech I realized that this could be related to the stuff we was learning in biology. I realized that this was in fact related to the Race Real website that we was on just a few minutes early.
As Obama stated about “playing the race card” we are ninety-nine percent alike. Furthermore on the Race real website we learned that there is not one characteristic, trait or gene distinguishes all members of one so-called race from of all members of another so-called race. In addition to that when the U.S was founded equality was a racial new idea. The concept of race helped explain why some people could be denied the rights and freedom that others took for granted.
In conclusion I say that “Race” is a subject that shouldn’t be formed based on the physical appearance of a person. As a matter of fact race shouldn’t really be consider at all. I ay this because no matter how a person looks because no matter how we look we still have the same genetic makeup.
